Green Dove's - first annual Peace Poets Chapbook Competition

$100 first prize plus 25 copies. Manuscripts 16-24 pages, including title,contents and acknowledgements. Reading fee: $10 00 non-refundable. Deadline Extended to - December 4th postmark. Green Dove invites submissions to the first annual Green Dove Chapbook Competition. Each fall, Green Dove will host a poetry chapbook competition.

Guidelines

Poetry writers should submit a chapbook of poems by December 4th of 2005. Notices will be sent out in April 2006.

The winning poet will receive $100 and 10 copies, with additional copies available at an author's discount.

-With the manuscript, please include a cover sheet, listing the author's name, address, phone number, email, and the manuscript's title.
-· Manuscripts must be typed, single-spaced, with each poem beginning on a separate page.
-Submit 4 packets of your Manuscripts that must be 28 pages in length, including the acknowledgements page (listing prior publications included in the chapbook) and the table of contents.
-The author's name should not appear anywhere else on the manuscript.
-Entries must have a postmark no later than December 4th, 2005. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
-Manuscripts not following these guidelines will be disqualified.

Include a $10 reading fee with your submission, payable to Green Dove Chapbook 2005. Poets may submit more than one chapbook, but a $10 reading fee must accompany each entry. Include an additional $5 if you would like to receive a copy of the winning chapbook. Winners will be notified by email unless a SASE is provided. Manuscripts will not be returned.

Green Dove would like to offer an annual poetry anthology contest for youth. Please consider making a donation to support such a project. Include a separate check with your submission and reading fee payable to Green Dove Children's Chapbook.

In the event that the judges do not choose a manuscript for publication, reading fees will be returned to all entrants.
